Belief vs Doubt

Belief. A trait I have consistently failed to adopt. Every single one of us has it, but I can hazard a guess at suggesting that a high percentage do not use it. Belief. To believe in oneself.

A trait which has severely hindered my career move in working with children and young people with disabilities. My inept ability to believe in myself has been one of many factors why I have suffered with depression and anxiety the past two years.

Belief breeds confidence – the opposite is also very true. I never gave myself a pat on the back when I first ventured in to the unknown of this career move. I guess moving from one career to a completely new one is a type of belief, but that is where it stopped.
